Nkhoma: The String Snake
It bites it's victims on the head and kills instantly. The second the bite happens the body dires out and becomes no more than bones. It lays and invisible string, sometimes miles long. When and aimal or human crosses the string, the snake snaps out of hidding and kills them. Then it retreats back into its home, only eating the flies that are attracted. If you find a straight line with bones scattered around, be careful to avoid the string or you will be killed.
Magnetic Snake
If you try to fly over the Mafinga Hills, the magnetic snake will activate and cause your plane to crash.
Kusilika Snake
There is a certain charm you can place on your garden to protect it from thieves. It has no visible sign. If a thief attempts to steal from the garden, a snake appears before them, weaving, ready to strike. If you dare and try to pass the snake, it will coil around your head until the owner returns. If you try to leave with a load on your back from the garden, you will become stuck and unable to move until the owner appears.
Sparking Snake
Little popping electricity surrounds this snake and leaves a crackling electric trail. But if you follow th trail it will vanish into a rock or a tree and no snake will be seen.
Naporo: Water-Flood snake
Water follows the snake. It brings floods with little or no rain. Gushing floods in Karonga were caused by the Naporo. People and animals were and still are rescued from being buried alive by seeing blood pooling on the soil.
